RIOT: NoTAV 1.0

RIOT is a game created by Leonard Menchiari, who personally experienced riots during the NoTAV protests in Italy. The purpose of the game is to depict the stories and emotions that arise in these confrontations. It aims to shed light on what drives crowds to display such anger and aggression, as well as capturing the perspective of a police officer caught up in the conflict. RIOT provides players with an opportunity to immerse themselves in both sides of the fight, emphasizing that there are no clear winners. Rather than taking a stance on who is right or wrong, the game encourages players to draw their own conclusions through firsthand experience.

In RIOT, players have the freedom to approach each situation in their own way, utilizing various strategies and tactics to achieve their desired outcome. As civil unrest grows and corruption erodes societal foundations, players will be challenged to disperse an angry crowd or overcome a well-equipped militia.

RIOT: NoTAV includes several key events, such as Maddalena's Clearing, December 8th, A32 Highway, Valsusa Gates (Beginning of an End), and two bonus events: NoMUOS and Rome Indignados (Oct15).

The game also features a list of achievements for players to strive towards. These include clearing either the rioters or the police within strict time limits or without Journalists present in order to achieve 100% completion. Additionally, completing the final level as either the rioters or the police will unlock an ending cut scene, as well as the NoMUOS and Rome Indignados maps.

RIOT offers two distinct gameplay modes. The Single Player STORY mode allows players to experience the game as either rioters or riot police. Alternatively, there is a Two Player VERSUS mode for those who want to compete against each other on the same device.
